Quickbase makes it easy to access educational resources to learn the Quickbase platform. We offer both eLearning and live training courses for anyone who wants to learn the skills necessary to build and maintain Quickbase apps.
Live training
Live training courses are instructor-led sessions that occur either in person or virtually. They include workshops for builders to learn by creating and modifying apps alongside a trainer. These sessions are tailored to the audience to provide the best possible learning experience.
You can receive the following training sessions live:
Fundamentals: Learn the basic concepts you’ll need to create and manage Quickbase apps.
Intermediate: Improve your building skills with more sophisticated features and methodologies
Enablement services
Our Enablement Services packages also include an option for virtual live training. You receive a fixed number of hours to use for your overall Enablement Services, some of which are dedicated to training and education.
If you don't have an Enablement services package, training is offered as a paid service. This applies to both in-person and virtual training.
On-demand learning
On-demand Learning offers self-paced courses. They include self-led videos and tutorials to learn foundational concepts and skills. On-demand Learning is available through Quickbase University to anyone with app creation permissions, regardless of account type.
The training videos are broken up into courses, and are organized by concepts and by audience (e.g. Quickbase user role). You'll also have access to sessions that took place at previous Empower conferences.
Certification
The Quickbase Certification Program is the best way to promote your expertise. It's a great way to validate your ability to design, build, implement, and maintain Quickbase apps. For each achievement, you'll receive a personalized printable certificate and digital credential to promote on LinkedIn and social media.
There are three certification levels:
App Builder
Expert Builder
Pipelines Builder
You can receive each certification level by passing the certification exams offered through Quickbase University.
FAQ: Is training necessary to build a Quickbase application?
Quickbase application development is straightforward, regardless of your technical background. Through guides and a visual builder, you can create a functioning application without training.
However, we recommend training as a great way to learn best practices and advanced building techniques.
A 39-week extended course has an estimated 5 hours/week time commitment. Students can expect to spend about 45 minutes daily on their Outlier course - including both time at school and at home.
The processes of training evaluation can be divided into five steps: identify purposes of evaluation; select evaluation methods; design evaluation tools, collect data; and analyze and report results.
It breaks down the evaluation process into four distinct levels: Reaction, Learning, Transfer, and Results. Each level provides a step-by-step framework to assess the impact of training from the initial participant reaction to the final results that affect the organization.
Outlier courses are real college courses. So you should be ready for the academic rigor of college-level coursework. We recommend you: Take only 1 Outlier course at a time.
There are a number of different evaluation metrics you can use to measure learner outcomes, such as: test scores, course completion rates, job satisfaction, and task performance. Process measures can include things like hours of training completed, trainer satisfaction, and participant engagement.
